Prenatal Yoga is for everyone who is pregnant. That means if you're 6 weeks pregnant, or 40 weeks pregnant, this class is for you! Prenatal yoga (pregnancy yoga, maternity yoga) soothes the aches of pregnancy, prepares your body for childbirth, and allows you to create community with other pregnant moms, and moms to be.
Maybe you're an experienced yoga practitioner, looking for modifications to your regular yoga practice. Or, maybe you're brand new to yoga and looking for safe prenatal exercise classes.
We'll practice prenatal yoga poses to stretch your hips, soothe tight shoulders, and ease achy backs. You'll learn prenatal yoga breathing techniques. You'll challenge yourself by building strength and endurance, and you'll finish class feeling more relaxed. You'll prepare for labor and childbirth, and practice poses which encourage your baby into the optimal fetal position for birth. The benefits of prenatal yoga even include better sleep, and reduced stress.
Whether you'll be a new parent, or already have kids, expect to leave prenatal yoga class with more peace of mind and greater confidence in yourself and in the upcoming birth of your baby.
